Thanks to the Friends of the Library volunteers and to everyone who donated books and bought books this year. You helped the Friends hit a new sales record during the Oct. 19–25 Fall Book Sale: $147,337.21. Proceeds support the many programs and services of the 10 library branches.

The literature section at the Friends of the Library Book Sale is nearly empty on Sunday afternoon during the $5 Books in a Bag Sale.

The FOL Spring Book Sale is set for April 26–May 1, 2016. Unfortunately, don’t plan on the sale being at Remington’s on West Republic Road for the future. Ridgecrest Baptist Church, owners of the event facility for several years, have canceled all upcoming events, including the Show Gourd Society Show next April 2016. The facility will close at the end of December and future plans were not immediately revealed.
